Archive for the ‘Oil’ Category

This month is almost over.

Que le temps passe vite!!!

My skin is getting worse and worse (I HAVE WHITEHEAD ON MY CHEEK!!!)because I only sleep 3-4 hours a day in Jan.

by the way, this is the final post of my oil collection series.

Jojoba oil
-Slightly heavier than rose hip oil and sweet almond oil but lighter than olive oil.
-Price:  its relatively cheap compare to rose hip oil and sweet almond oil. $7-11+
-Usage: This is a little too greasy for my face. I am planning to use it in my DIY mask/hand cream/body lotion etc.

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

-price: $19-25
-I did a little research before I bought it. Many people use it for hair treatment.
-How I feel abt it:
I used it to massage the scalp and hair. Few days after, my scalp was blotchy and red.
It works much better as a skin lotion. The scent is SO TROPICAL. very hydrating.

Pantene Clinicare oil
– Usage: soften split ends–> 2-3 drops
-Where I got this: Hong Kong
-Made in JP
-Price: HKD 60+
-How I feel abt it:
Not bad. It does the job pretty well—calm the frizzes.

Sweet Almond Oil
Brand: Aura Cacia Organics: Pure Aromatherapy
-Price: around 11-13+ (I don’t remember)
Where I purchased it: Organic food store
Benefits: Softening, proteting and nurturing. A natural source of skin-nourishing antioxidants and vitamins.
-How I feel about this product: 100% pure vegetable oil. very hydrating and not greasy at all(unlike olive oil). LOVE IT LOVE IT!
I got this last week . I am using it everyday.
I usually combine this with my rosehip oil and apply it all over my face and neck(3 drops almond oil: 2 drops rosehip oil). Then I put my lotion on. This is a 100% natural product and relatively cheap.
I also add this in my DIY mask.

(I’ll write abt how I make my mask after my oil collection series:-])

Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil
-Brand: Kosmea from Australia
Where I got this: Organic food store
-Price: around 32+ (I don’t remember)
-Benefit: smoothes wrinkles, help even out skin tone, moisturises and soothes dry skin, nourishes and hydrates aging skin, balances oil skin and reduces appearance of blemishes, instant imporvement to skin health, high in essential fatty acids to increase skin elasticity, rich in skin-repairing vitamins and antioxiants, super-light and easily absorbed.
-How I feel:
This oil is the lightest oil among all. Because it’s fragance free, the odor is a little….hummm…:-/
To be honest, I don’t really see any changes…I’ll just wait and see.

L’oreal Eye Makeup Remover
Cheap and effective.
Compare to the lancome remover, this is SO much cheaper.

Olive oil
Many people recommanded this on youtube, blogs, forum…etc.
But it irritated and burned my eyes. (again, my eyes are very sensitive)
this just didn’t work for me….

This removes eye make-up  too.
Why I know it? because i was running out of eye makeup remover one day(back in my high school yr), I tried to use water to remove my makeup and it didn’t work of course.
Then I found this in the drawer. It saved my life.
BUT, its better to use eye makeup remover because petroleum jelly does CLOG your pores and causes white head around your eyes.

I only use Vaseline for lips:-)

Hi, today I am going to share some oil that I have here. ( I have 10 in my
I am totally OBSESSED+ ADDICTED into oil and I just can’t live without them.
Oil is essential to human body internally and also externally.

This is my favourite make-up remover from fancl.
The bottle is very different from the regular one becoz this is the limited one (?_? for x’mas).
Its very pretty eh?
It claims : “The mild Cleansing Oil quickly and effectively removes all kinds of makeup. After use, skin is clear, smooth and healthy .”
BTW,it does the job very well and very gentle on my skin (my skin type: VERY sensitive).
But we need to finish it in 120 days after opening ( 2-3months).
Its okay for me becoz I use it almost everday. Therefore, I finish it up very quickly.
One more thing to this product…It removes waterproof mascara/ eyeliner very, VERY well and quickly.
[I’ve used 4+ bottle already. lol]

The second make-up remover oil is from Shu Uemura.
hum…… didn’t work for me.
Many people recommand it online therefore I bought this.
It is not cheap at all.
It irritates my skin very badly. (break out+ redness)
I used almost 3/4 of it because I was forced to.
I couldn’t get fancl makeup remover in Vancouver and it was the only thing that I had.
At first, I thought that my skin just need some time to adapt this product so I was keep on using it for a month.
And my skin got worse n’ worse…-_-
This is expensive+ not effective as the fancl one + causing redness and breaking my skin out.
I won’t buy this again!
[It’s just my opinion]

I am going to write 2 oil each day because I have 10 of it want to share and comment on.
Please tell me your experience in different oils if u have any.

🙂 Bye~
